Recipes for Happiness
Loaves of Love was inspired by the idea that happiness can be found in the simplest of actions and that this happiness is magnified when we share it with others. At a time in human history when we could easily lose ourselves in over-stimulation and over-consumption it feels important to take the time to appreciate the things that really matter: the food we eat, the people around us, the planet upon which we depend and simple acts of beauty and kindness.
What follows are links to some of the people and organisations around the world inspiring us to get re-connected – to other people, our food, the planet. I am sure there are plenty of others, so if you have any links you would like to share please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Slow Food was founded in 1989 to counteract fast food and fast life, the disappearance of local food traditions and people’s dwindling interest in the food they eat, where it comes from, how it tastes and how our food choices affect the rest of the world.
To do that, Slow Food brings together pleasure and responsibility, and makes them inseparable.
